who am I

I’ve been getting a few emails about who I am and what we do and where are we based out of….
I have been an Atlanta GA based wedding photographer for the last 5 years. Half of my weddings are destination weddings throughout the Southeast US… GA, NC, SC, FL Coast and the Caribbean and the Riviera Maya.

One day a few years ago, I was introduced to one of the most amazing destination wedding shooters ON THIS PLANET…
see for yourself. www.soltamargo.com | www.soltamargo.com/blog. We have been hanging out a little and shooting in some craaazzy places…

OH, I asked her to Marry ME :) We are having our legal ceremony on June 2. She lives in Playa del Carmen Mexico and we are operating a studio from there as well….

We decided that we could offer more dynamic wedding photography coverage as a team and came up with a cool little company, www.delsolphotography.com…. We both heavily are into using our speedlights… and totally love our jobs!
so that is who we are :) Just a few wedding photographer strobe enthusiasts :) Please provide comments and give us a shout!

Saludos!

I want the “world” to know how amazing, creative and full of ideas this guy is., yeah…Matt Adcock changed my career. We meet trough a common client, he shoot the engagement photos in Atlanta, and I shoot the wedding in Riviera Maya; they gave him my email and he sent me the photos he took of them and some comments on how great our job was being able to photograph such a great day in people’s life., well I looked at his website and the photos he took, and I say to my self, Sol you better make friends with this guy and steal his brain out, he’s good!!!….well, I did more than that and not only stole the brains, but the heart!!!! :)

Anyway, my photography skills went to a different level with the things he taught me, he showed me how to use the off camera flash in 20 minutes, and at the next day I was using it at a wedding, and actually I won an award on the WPJA contest with one of those images, first time using the flash, operated by an assistant and practicing the “roller finger” technique I did it great and since that day, I carry my strobe at all my weddings and photoshoots.

So I highly recommend keeping visiting this blog, and try the ideas he is sharing, steal his brain out!… heart is already taken.. haha…
you will learn a lot, and by practicing, your photography is going to be multidimensional, creative and fun.

    I love Matt Adcock!!!!

    Matt & Sol,
I live in New York , I found out about you guys 1 year ago when my sister in Ireland was looking for pictures of wedding destinations. At that time I just started my wedding photography business but I have been a second camera videographer for the last 3 years for weddings and all kind of events.
When I saw your pictures I couldn’t believe how beautiful there were and I knew right away what kind of photographer I want to be. I have seen thousand of photographer websites but no one is like you guys.. And I am working on learning your lighting methods ( is good when you admit that you admire & learned from that photographer.)

I do LOVE your photography, it really inspire me to keep practicing. So if you are ever in NY please feel free to email me. I keep reading your blog and any idea of how to make my photography better it would be great. I just read “off camera flash in 20 minutes’ from Sol comment and I am here trying to figure out what that means (?)
Don’t be surprise if I learn so much from your blog that my photography lighting starting looking like yours..(I still dreaming…. & practicing a lot).

Well guys, keep it up and please give us more ideas.. You guys ROCK!!!! And congratulations on your upcoming wedding…
I am wondering..” who is going to be the photographer???” I have the feeling you both will be taking pictures of each other that day (I bet anything you will be bringing your camera with you on your wedding day.lol.)

Well guys this is a long comment but really full of admiration and happiness.

    Good Luck
